The Composting Council Research & Education Foundation is having its annual International Compost Awareness Week in May 2018. The theme this year is "Compost! Building a Better Future." Composting is important on a number of levels in that it reduces landfill waste, creates healthier soil, thus reducing the need for harmful chemical fertilizers. Composting is, however, dirty work and may deter people from putting forth the effort, despite all the benefits. I sought to promote the benefits of composting by staying away from the idea of dirt and rotting organic matter and instead focusing on the end-result... the fruits of this labor:
